In an effort to help slow the spread of COVID-19, and to comply with social distancing guidelines, Immanuel's Board of Elders has CANCELLED all activities at Immanuel through the end of April. This includes worship services, Bible classes, fellowship activities, etc. The Board is following guidelines from CDC and local health authorities, and will notify you when the situation changes.
Toilet paper ... Paper towels ... Tissues ...
New this year -- hygiene products (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.) -- unscented or lightly scented, please.
Help provide these basic necessities to members of our community! Did you know paper products and basic hygiene items cannot be purchased with a SNAP card (food stamps)?
Bring a package of toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, or hygiene items to the church office by April 5 (call ahead to make sure someone will be in the office). We will deliver the donations to the Volunteers of America Food Bank shortly after Easter.
Questions? Contact a member of Immanuel's Board of Expanding Ministries (Becky L., Susan C., Marbeth S.) or the church office. Thank you!
Concordia Seminary has cancelled Call Day services and festivities. However, third year students will receive vicarage placements, and graduates will receive pastoral calls. Members, be watching your email to receive notification of whether or not Immanuel will receive a vicar, and where Nathanael B. is called to serve.
Immanuel's annual Spring Cleanup and Value Village FunDrive have been TENTATIVELY rescheduled for June 20. Check back for more information.
The Board of Expanding Ministries will again be collecting items during Spring Cleanup for a fundraiser. Items donated will be taken to Value Village, which pays by the pound -- 25 cents/pound on soft items (clothing, shoes, purses, belts, linens, towels, sheets), 2 cents/pound on small household items, toys under 18", books. Funds raised will be donated to a charity TBD.
Lutheran Braille Workers (LBW), located in Yucaipa, California, has launched its new Buy-A-Dot campaign to help purchase a new machine which produces the plates used in created Braille Bibles, as well as related expenses.
As one of LBW’s Ministry Production Centers, we know how important it is to produce Braille and Large Print materials for people who are blind or visually impaired who may not have other access to God’s Word.
Every single volume produced is given away free of charge to tens of thousands of people each year. To make this happen, we rely on volunteers and donations! Will you Buy A Dot and help us share God’s Word?
To make a donation:
Contact Janet B. in person, or contact the church office (425-252-7038 or email@example.com) for questions or more information.
